Welcome to Joe Shows How! In this week’s video, I’ll share a quick tip for organizing wrenches, specifically combination and adjustable wrenches. In the past, whenever I was working on a project in the yard or garage, I’d often grab a handful of wrenches and toss them into my toolbox. But when I needed a wrench, I’d have to dig around in the bottom of the toolbox to find the right-size wrench. So, I decided to eliminate the constant excavation by clipping all the wrenches to a single carabiner. Now, when I need a wrench I simply pull out the carabiner with all the wrenches attached. And often, you can use the wrench without even removing it from the carabiner.
At the end of the job, I empty out the toolbox and hang the carabiner on the pegboard in my shop, so the wrenches are always close by. In fact, I recently bought a second carabiner for organizing my metric-size combination wrenches.
